'Teddy-go-Round' - Year 9's very own business idea

What the business is about

Our business is to sell recycled Teddies and Toys. We will be selling T-shirts with messages on them to go on the Teddies.

At the first meeting we discussed different ideas and chose our product. The final choice was a combination of two separate ideas - recycling old Teddies and making T-shirts. The product range could be extended in the future to include other toys that we could repair and clean up.

The messages would be ones that parents would want to remind their children of things like: 'Brush your teeth', 'Have you done your homework?' and so on.

Results of market research

Thank you to all those who took the time to fill out one of our questionnaires.

It told us that:

1. Lots of you thought it was a good idea and would be interested in buying a recycled Teddy, especially if they could have their own message on.

2. The best price would be between £5 ton £10.

3. Not many of you have Teddies we could recycle - so we may need to look elsewhere.

Enterprise 4U

On March 23rd we will be joining other local secondary schools in an Enterprise 4U competition at the Winter Gardens.

We will be having a trade stand on which we will have a prototype bear and also be giving a presentation on how we planned the business and the content of the business.

We will then be judged on our Business Plan, presentation and prototype. The winner of the competition will receive an award.
