Minutes of the Friends of Westhaven P.T.A. Committee Meeting - 6.00 p.m. Thursday 11th October 2007

Present:   F Baker, C Wistow, S Woodward, T Woodward, K Bradford, M Bradford, E Gough, S Jeffrey, R Jeffrey, B Richardson, J Moss.

Apologies: W Vincent, H Thorne, H Rich, P Doe

Minutes of the Last Meeting: Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved by C Wistow, seconded by S Jeffrey

Matters Arising: J Moss reported that fresh water had now been fitted in two parts of the school. There will be a supply in KS4 shortly.

Treasurer’s Report:

Bernie Richardson reported that there is £37167 in bank, of this £29900 is for the Trust,   £7267.34 for the PTA.

Any other business:

Christmas Fayre: Shenna has a Bristol rugby shirt. This is to go in the silent auction.

Sheena will come into school nearer the date of the fayre to organise the raffle. She already has quite a number of raffle prizes.

Mr Bradford asked if his parents could bring along craft items to put on a stall. Also Mrs Bradford asked about a chocolate fountain. Everyone agreed that these would be a welcome addition to the Fayre.

Further arrangements to be discussed at the next meeting. 

Letter received from Brian Davies requesting an A3 printer for the computer room. The cost would be approximately £250 to £300. Mr Davies to organise.

Bernie had received a card from Sue Slade. She has been visiting various Trust properties and the camera she had received from the collection had been used a great deal. She thanked everyone and said she had been enjoying her retirement so far.
