Minutes of the Friends of Westhaven P.T.A. Committee Meeting held on 20th November 2008

Present: L Gough, T Woodward, S Woodward, C Wistow, S Jeffrey, P Doe, F Baker, T Gardner, L Rankin, B Richardson

Apologies: J Moss, K Bradford, W Barrett

Minutes of the Last Meeting:  Read and agreed by S Jeffrey, seconded by L Gough

Matters Arising:  Christmas Fayre

Sheena Jeffrey reported that she had got various prizes for the raffle. Esporta, Exmoor Falconry , Fountain Timber, Jesters etc.  

Sheena told committee that she had received information from Castle Coombe regarding the use of the Skid Pan. The prize is worth £88 but they would sell it to us for £44.50, money required in advance. It was thought that we might not get our money back for this at the silent auction. Committee agreed to think about this for the summer fayre.

Wilkinsons had sent a voucher for £50 which Sheena was going to spend on prizes for children.

There were still Tee shirts available from the summer fayre.

Sharon Woodward to buy sweets for Father Christmas.

Carole Wistow organising the stalls.

Sheena was to call Rosemary Austin to see if she would like a stall.

Bernie Richardson to do his whisky game. Liz Gough to get the bottles.

Bottle fishing, Carole to get the bottles, possibly Toni Woodward to run the stall.

Liz Rankin has offered to do the food and drinks again from the HE room.

There was a note to go home requesting bottles and tins.

Leaflets to go out in Uphill and to the shops. Star Radio, Website, College and Radio Bristol to be informed.

Fayre to start at 6.00 p.m., setting up from 3.30 p.m.

Treasurer’s Report:

Mr Richardson had nothing to report; total in account the same as last meeting.

Any other business:

There was no other business.
