Key Stage 2 residential visit to Goblin Combe - Thursday 2 July to Friday 3 July
Below are the pupils' comments about the experience ...

I liked it when me, Tom, Tabs, Hannah, Hannah and Tyler were building dens together.  Tom found an old blackboard for the roof and Tabs built a special feature of a camp fire.

I loved making a fire and putting it out with Tom.

I liked the den building and making the bread.

I liked being with KS2 and the football and cricket.

I liked the the kick the ball game with everybody joining in.  I caught the ball lots.

II really enjoyed all of it but the bits I enjoyed most was den building with Mike Tabs, Hannah, Hannah and Tyler, and lighting the camp fire with flints.

I liked building the dens and I found a big log to be a seat in the den.

I liked the den building with Kirsty, Molly and Liam.  We used Kirsty's coat for a flag.

I enjoyed dancing and singing round the camp fire and I gave everybody a hug before they went to sleep.

I liked the den building and making a Goblin Village.

I liked making a nature picture and I found one of those King Alfred cakes.  I liked the den making and I found wild strawberries.

I really liked everything.

... and the staff said ...
Mrs Griffiths:  I was so proud of how mature KS2 were!

Mrs Richardson: I was amazed at how much KS2 got from it and enjoyed it.

Mrs Willis:  I liked making a picture out of stones and wood with Molly.  The best part was that no one was ill!!  It was a lovely two days, thank you.

Mr Richardson:  It was a fantastic experience for both pupils and staff!!  KS2 were truly amazing and were a pleasure to be with.

Mr Bevan:  Had a really lovely time and enjoyed spending time with KS2.  It was really lovely to see everyone enjoying all of the activities.

Mrs Burke:  I didn't realise there was so much fun to be had, and so many things to do - the children were brilliant.  Can't wait for next time!

Mr Davies: I only popped in during the evening but it was so obvious what a special time this was.  Story time in the yurt most memorable.
