'Futsal' Day - top three teams with their medals on the beach

Personal victory for Jodie

A great start before term even begins; Jodie in KS2 attended the “Top Up Swimming” course in the half term holiday and managed to swim across the training pool using a float without touching the bottom. Well done Jodie.

Dance club

The new dance club with new coach Emma was brilliant on its first day.  The club is aiming to perform at a school assembly before the end of term. If you wish to join just see Mr. Barlow, the club is on Mondays from 3pm to 4pm.

Futsal Day

‘Futsal Day’ at Westhaven. Wednesday 10 June.  Futsal is the Brazilian version of 5 a side football and on Wednesday pupils from Westhaven, Threeways and Priory schools had the benefit of a whole day of skills and matches with coaches from the F.A

Threeways 'Reds' won the tournament with Threeways 'Blues' second by goal difference to Westhaven who had to be happy with bronze medals.

Top goalkeeper Dean 'Clean Sheet' Rose was selected to attend a special FA day at Taunton on Saturday 6^th June.  He had a great day and is now to attend county trials for the C.P. football squad at Bristol on the 1^st July. Good luck Dean! We will let you know how he gets on.

Swimming gala success

Lots of very high placings and personal best performances at the gala on 19 June. We are awaiting confirmation but are pretty certain that Westhaven gained more points than any other school at the gala. Well done Westhaven!
